Scooter Insurance & Breakdown Cover
We strongly recommend our customers to be insured when they are using their mobility scooters.
Comprehensive cover costs £86 per year.
You and your mobility scooter will be covered against third party liability, accidental damage, and theft. Please ask us for a key facts booklet.
IF YOU WANT BREAKDOWN COVER INCLUDED:
Our PLUS policy costs £119 per year and includes breakdown recovery. You will receive a card to carry with you and a sticker for your mobility scooter, with a phone number to call for free assistance, to get you and your mobility scooter home if your scooter stops unexpectedly.
This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and works rather like the AA / RAC.
Servicing & Repairs
We advise our customers to have their mobility scooters serviced every 12 months, and every 3 to 6 months if used very heavily.
A mobility scooter service typically costs £50 plus parts, takes about one hour and can usually be done at your home.
Both our partners, Ian and Liz, are highly experienced, factory trained mobility scooter engineers, with a wealth of knowledge built up over their years spent together rebuilding and servicing the whole range of mobility scooters.
Batteries, Tyres & Puncture Proofing
Batteries, tyres and tubes are consumable items which gradually wear as the mobility scooter is used. Neglecting these items causes unwanted breakdowns.
We stock and recommend MK batteries, which are widely accepted as the most reliable on the market. We also stock the full range of mobility scooter tyres and tubes.
To supply and fit two MK 34ah batteries to a Shoprider Sovereign scooter costs £195.
OKO PUNCTURE SEALANT
We are your local appointed agent for OKO puncture sealant, which is used by NATO for puncture proofing their military vehicles.
To supply and fit OKO puncture sealant costs £50 per mobility scooter, if carried out with a standard service.
